- WSIB clearance and liability insurance are a plus — bring them if you have them; both are needed before you are sent on an abatement site
- A driver's licence and your own vehicle are a plus
- Sub work: you invoice Safeway per job, you are not an employee
- Experienced in your trade — a few years on the tools, and work you can show us
- Working at Heights training, which Ontario requires for roof work
The work
Water damage often starts at the roof. Once we have dried and rebuilt the inside, the roof has to be fixed so it does not happen again: leak repairs, flashing, partial and full tear-offs, shingle and flat-roof work, and soffit and fascia where the water got in.
You quote each job from the scope we send; once agreed, that is the price. You invoice Safeway when it is done.
