Mold, fixed at the source.

Mold is a symptom, not the disease — it means moisture is getting in somewhere. We contain it, remove it safely, and find the source so it doesn't grow back behind the drywall.

How it works

  1. 01

    Inspection & moisture source

Visible mold is usually a symptom of a moisture problem you can't always see. We identify the affected area and — the part that actually matters — where the water is coming from.

  2. 02

    Containment

Before anything is disturbed, the work area is sealed and put under controlled airflow so spores aren't spread into the rest of the property during removal.

  3. 03

    Removal & cleaning

Affected materials are removed or cleaned using the right method for the surface and extent of growth, with HEPA filtration throughout.

  4. 04

    Drying & moisture control

Materials are dried to a safe moisture level and the underlying source is addressed — remediation that skips the cause just delays the next occurrence.

  5. 05

    Clearance

The area is confirmed clean and dry before anything is rebuilt, so you're not closing a wall over a problem that comes back.

Preliminary estimate

A planning range for mold remediation.

The extent and the moisture source can only be confirmed on site, so this is a preliminary range — it narrows once we've inspected.

If the mold followed a leak or flood, the water damage and the mold are one job, not two. See water-damage restoration — addressing the moisture is what stops the mold coming back.

Common questions

Do I need testing before remediation?

Not always. If mold is clearly visible and the cause is understood, testing may not add much. It's most useful to confirm a suspected hidden problem, identify the type, or verify the area is clear afterward. We'll tell you honestly whether it's worth it for your situation.

Can I just clean mold myself?

Small surface mold on a hard, non-porous surface can sometimes be cleaned. But mold on porous materials like drywall or insulation, a large area, or mold that keeps returning points to a moisture source that needs professional attention — and disturbing it can spread spores through the property.

Is mold related to water damage?

Almost always. Mold needs moisture to grow, so it typically follows a leak, flood, or humidity problem. If you've had water damage, addressing it quickly is the single best way to prevent mold from developing.

Will you find where the water is coming from?

Yes — that's central to how we work. Removing visible mold without addressing the moisture source means it comes back. Finding and fixing the cause is the difference between remediation and repainting a recurring problem.

Does insurance cover mold remediation?

Sometimes, and it usually turns on the cause. Mold that followed a sudden covered event — a burst pipe, an appliance failure — is often covered as part of that claim; mold from long-term humidity, slow leaks, or deferred maintenance frequently isn't, and many policies cap mold coverage regardless. Only your insurer can tell you which applies to you. What we do either way is document the cause and the moisture path, because that's what the decision gets made on.
