Electricians (licensed)

Safeway Demo & Environmental Services · Toronto and the GTA

Electrical (licensed)

Before you apply

  • A résumé, attached when you register
  • WSIB clearance and liability insurance are a plus — bring them if you have them; both are needed before you are sent on an abatement site
  • A driver's licence and your own vehicle are a plus
  • Sub work: you invoice Safeway per job, you are not an employee
  • A Certificate of Qualification (309A), working through an ESA/ECRA Licensed Electrical Contractor

The work

Before a demolition or abatement starts, power to the work area has to be made safe; after the rebuild it has to come back up and pass inspection. That is the work we send: disconnects and temporary power, then circuits, devices, fixtures, smoke and CO alarms, and panel work on kitchens, bathrooms and basements.

You quote each job from the scope we send; once agreed, that is the price. You invoice Safeway when it is done, and you pull the ESA permit for your work.

Think it’s you? Put your name in.

Register once — your trades, your résumé, your photos, your WSIB and insurance if you have them — and that is your application for this role and any other. The owner reads every registration himself.
